Making Your Poetry BETTER!
Hopefully this website and its features can do just that! But we are prepared just in case the user feedback to your poems aren't enough. Here is the top 7 things we think a poem needs to be good: 1...Interest - Without it, no one will want to read the next line or stanza.
2...Concise - Make sure all the words are necessary and chose the best
words to get the job done
3...Lacks Error - If a poem has major grammical and spelling errors, it
can really hurt a readers ability to understand what you are talking
about. It also slows the reader down taking him or her out of
whatever moment you might have been creating for them.
4...Excitement - To help keep a reader interested, this is most definately
needed. This will help them wondering what is coming next and really
want to read the next line.
5...Unique - Make your poem unique. We all don't need to copy the
"Raven" do we?
6...Discovery - Help your reader discover something new about himself
or even something about the world. Make them want to sit after
reading the poem and ponder about what you were saying.
7...Enjoyable - The most important thing for you to do is make the poem
enjoyable! Hopefully tips 1-6 will help you achieve this.
